The first Mersey Dee Alliance (MDA) Innovation Network Business Breakfast of 2019 took place in Tŷ Pawb on Friday February 15.
The event was an opportunity for businesses operating in Wrexham, Flintshire, West Cheshire and Wirral to network. Attendees also had the opportunity to learn more about business growth and innovation.
The Development Bank of Wales sponsored the event, which was hosted at Tŷ Pawb. Mike Owen, group investment director at the Development Bank of Wales, and Gary Guest, fund manager at FW Capital, hosted a free workshop at the event as well as speaking to attendees.
Other members of the Development Bank of Wales were also on hand throughout the event to discuss the range of finance available to businesses to help them get off the ground or grow.
The event also included a tour of Tŷ Pawb, two minute ‘elevator’ pitches, 20+ exhibitors as well as a workshop by the Development Bank of Wales!
Cllr Terry Evans, Lead Member for Economy said; “It was a great event for local businesses to make new contacts and learn about opportunities and funding which may be available for businesses in the area. The event was extremely successful with over 225 businesses in attendance and I am sure everyone who came took away some really useful information, contacts and advice.”
