Walking for charity

The Proclaimers said that they would have walked 500 miles for love, and now the staff from Tapley Avenue Children’s Centre will be walking from Johnstown to Llangollen for the love of the Children’s Farm Adventure Trust!

Funded solely by voluntary contributions, this charity needs to raise £1 million a year. They use that money to provide holidays, fun days and, most importantly, lasting memories for children and young people who have disabilities, are terminally ill or disadvantaged.

This sponsored walk of 8.3 miles will take place on September 29, 11am starting at Tapley Avenue Children’s Centre, a respite centre in Acton for children with physical and learning disabilities. Children visiting Tapley Avenue have been lucky enough to have had two holidays with Children’s Farm Adventure Trust int he last two years so they know first-hand how important and amazing the charity is.

If you are able to sponsor or take part in this walk, contact the team at Tapley Avenue Children’s Centre on 01978 352333.
