You’re working around literature and media that can help people improve their skills and knowledge, and in this particular case, which can help them with their journey back into society.

The job…

We’re advertising for a Berwyn Library Assistant to work in our library at HMP Berwyn.

This job is four-days-a-week (which includes alternate Fridays and Saturdays), and we also need you to provide cover for holidays and sickness.

You’ll be working in a front line environment that can sometimes be challenging, but rewarding too. Your commitment and enthusiasm will make a difference here, giving the Berwyn community a comprehensive and efficient library service.

You’ll use your excellent customer service skills and knowledge to contribute to the overall running of the library service.

It’s a very rewarding job for the right person 🙂

Here’s a bit more info about what you need…

You need a minimum of five GCSE passes (of grade C and above), including English and Maths (or equivalent).

A decent knowledge of public libraries and authors would be helpful, and the ability to speak Welsh is desirable too.
