There’s an exciting opportunity for a Welsh speaking apprentice to join our busy and award winning Digital, Brand and Public Relations Team.

Content
“Help develop our digital future”” Welsh speaker essential”

The role will be divided into 3 areas and you will spend 4 months working with our Marketing and Public Relations team and write media articles for our news blog which is pretty ground-breaking and has broken the mould of how Council’s usually communicate with the public.

You’ll also help improve our social media presence and we’ll listen very carefully to any ideas you have for developing our digital presence. In this team you’ll also be able to help organise and attend events, attend meetings and how to keep records and prepare properly for them.

HAVE YOUR SAY ON THE FUTURE OF HOUSING IN WREXHAM.

“Help develop our digital future”

A further four months will be spent with the Digital team learning how to create and update digital information onto our website and intranet. Here’s where you’ll also see how we communicate digitally with people using our social media pages. You’ll also help develop our digital future and how to analyse data to provide improvements to our digital presence.

Your final four months will be with our Brand and Reprographics team where you’ll learn about processing incoming and outgoing mail, maintain software and templates. You’ll also help provide a photocopying, digital printing and finishing service. You’ll liaise directly with clients to make sure the team provides a valuable service and you’ll also help the team’s graphic designer with amendments to designs and documents.

” Welsh speaker essential”

There are minimum qualifications and it’s essential you are a Welsh speaker, have 5 GCSE at C or equivalent including English and Maths.

Training will be part of the apprenticeship and you will study at ITEC for your NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration along with other Essential Skills training. There’s also an opportunity to receive Stewarding training – a valuable qualification for anyone looking to be involved in events in the future.

Sue Wyn Jones, Brand, Digital and Communications Lead for the teams said:

“This is a very exciting opportunity for a Welsh speaker to enter the modern world of digital public relations and marketing. We are an award winning dynamic and proactive team and the successful apprentice will benefit most from working with forward thinking, experienced and professional members of staff. Everything the team does is bi-lingual so it is essential that our new apprentice is a Welsh speaker.”
