We’re extremely proud and excited to be supporting the Wrexham Community and Culture Trust as they work towards bringing UK City of Culture 2029 title to Wrexham.
As runners up in 2025 we have since built on the momentum and experience gained from that achievement, and aim to deliver an inspiring, community-led campaign that celebrates the county’s rich culture, heritage, and creative energy.
Wrexham Community & Culture Trust will bring together partners, stakeholders, and residents from across the region and Wales to create a vibrant programme that reflects our unique character and ambition.
The initiative will showcase the creativity, inclusivity, and resilience that define the county, strengthening our identity on a national and international stage.
Securing the UK City of Culture 2029 title would provide lasting social and economic benefits for Wrexham, creating jobs, attracting investment, supporting local artists, and inspire future generations.
Cllr Hugh Jones, Lead Member for Planning and Public Protection, with responsibility for City of Culture said “The strength of our 2025 bid was in our community involvement and engagement. “Since then, we have been hard at work behind the scenes developing and strengthening our cultural ties and offerings.” Our City of Culture 2029 bid will once again be a celebration of our diverse communities and cultures as we look to share our stories, locally nationally and internationally. The bid’s legacy will also contribute towards the ongoing development of arts and culture across the county borough.
