Wrexham Carnival of Words is returning for another successful year.
Wrexham Carnival of Words has become a key feature of the city’s cultural calendar, offering a week-long celebration of literature every April.
Since it’s establishment in 2015, the festival has grown in both scale and reputation, attracting audiences from across the region.
Delivered by a dedicated team of volunteers in collaboration with Wrexham Library and Information Service team, the itinerary features a wide range of events, including author talks, poetry readings, workshops, and interactive sessions.
Activities are delivered in both English and Welsh, reflecting Wrexham’s bilingual identity and ensuring inclusivity.
Popular events such as ‘Meet the Author’ and themed evenings such as ‘Murder Mystery Night’ remain central to the carnival’s appeal, alongside opportunities for local writers and audiences to get involved.
Supported through ticket sales, sponsorship grants and donations, the Carnival of Words highlights the value of partnership in sustaining cultural activity within the county.
