Wrexham’s much-loved Victorian Christmas Market will return later this month, from Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th November, for four festive days in the heart of the city centre, proudly sponsored by Costa Coffee in Wrexham, as part of their local initiatives programme.

This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever, with over 70 stalls spread across wooden cabins, the marquee, and in and around St Giles Church, extending further towards Queen’s Square to welcome even more artisan makers and festive traders. Alongside the main market, visitors will also be able to explore additional pop-up stalls in the Butchers Market and General Market throughout the four days.

The seasonal market has firmly established itself as a highlight of Wrexham’s events calendar, drawing more than 70,000 visitors last year over a four-day period, offering a vibrant mix of artisan stalls, live entertainment, food and drink, and family attractions.

Set against the backdrop of St Giles Church, the market will feature charming wooden cabins offering a wide selection of bespoke gifts, handmade crafts, food, drink and festive produce. Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful Christmas present or simply enjoying the seasonal atmosphere with friends and family, the event promises something for everyone.

Familiar faces will return as this year’s market will feature Victorian street-entertainments such Father Christmas, the Scallywags, Queen Victoria and more. In addition, the traditional Victorian fairground, with rides, side stalls and entertainment suitable for all ages, has been expanded to run for the full four days, giving visitors more time to enjoy the seasonal attractions.

Cllr Nigel Williams, Lead Member for Economy, Business and Tourism at Wrexham County Borough Council said: “The Victorian Christmas Market is one of the most anticipated events in Wrexham’s festive calendar. It brings a real buzz to the city centre, supports independent businesses, and gives people a chance to enjoy everything Wrexham has to offer in the run-up to Christmas. Last year’s four-day market was nothing short of a success, and we’re delighted to welcome it back this year bigger and better than ever, and very grateful to have Costa Coffee Wrexham as an official sponsor.”

Rob Holmes, Area Manager for Costa Coffee in North Wales said: “Christmas is all about those little moments that bring us together, and we’re proud to support an event that celebrates just that. As a long-standing part of the Wrexham community, we’re delighted to sponsor this year’s Victorian Christmas Market and help make the festivities shine even brighter. It’s a wonderful occasion that truly captures the spirit of the season.”

Whether you’re shopping for the perfect present or soaking up the atmosphere with friends and family, the Wrexham Victorian Christmas Market is a celebration you won’t want to miss.
