What’s the story?

Parents and carers are welcome to bring their toddlers along to the weekly Story and Rhyme Time sessions that take place across the library services.

There is no booking required and they are completely free! All you have to do is join in on these fun and relaxed events.

Be sure to make a note of the dates below so you don’t miss out.

  • 28th October – 2.15 pm: Brynteg library, Memorial Centre
  • 30th October – 11 am: Wrexham library, city centre
  • 30th October – 2.15 pm: Chirk library, Chapel Lane

Learning with Lego

We have the perfect event for young fans of Lego. Each week, our libraries open their doors to creative young minds as they host local Lego Clubs.

It’s a great way for children to interact with others and encourages positive skills such as teamwork and problem solving whilst having a lot of fun along the way.

Lego Club is free to attend and you don’t need to book in advance, just turn up and let the imagination flow. The half term dates for the club meetings are listed below.

  • 28th October – 3 pm: Chirk library, Chapel Lane
  • 29th October – 3.15 pm: Cefn Mawr library, Plas Kynaston Lane
  • 1st November – 11 am: Brynteg library, Memorial Centre

Swap shop

Calling all sticker and trading card collectors! Gwersyllt library is hosting a free event for children aged 16 and under who are looking to complete their collections.

If you have any stickers or trading cards you wish to swap with fellow collectors, there is a take one, leave one policy to help boost your sets.

You can join in the fun on Thursday 23rd October at 3.30 pm in Gwersyllt library on Second Avenue. Adult traders are not allowed, sorry!

Get involved

Wrexham libraries are hosting activities and events constantly so why not see what your local library has in store for you? There are weekly events for all ages from children to adults. You can search our online catalogue or pop into your local library.

Councillor Beverley Parry-Jones, lead member for Corporate and Customer Services said: “Our library services take great pride in putting on wonderful activities for our communities. I hope parents and carers take full advantage of the marvellous events that are coming up this half term. I have no doubt it will keep the young ones entertained and it is a lovely opportunity for them to make new friends and memories”.
