At a ceremony held recently by Mudiad Meithrin in Aberaeron, Cylch Meithrin Min y Ddôl (Cefn Mawr) won a ‘Best in north east Wales’ award for their achievements.

Headmistress at Ysgol Min y Ddôl, Claire Rayner said: “All staff in Cylch Meithrin Min y Ddôl are committed to ensuring the very best possible start to the children’s Welsh educational journey.

“Their holistic approach to ensuring every child is included and valued in an environment whereby they are encouraged, challenged and celebrated has resulted in a provision that is worthy of an award that recognises all of the before mentioned.

“We are very grateful to the committee, our parents and our children for making Cylch Meithrin Min y Ddôl the success it is.

“It is warming to see our provision thriving with numbers growing every year and parents choosing Welsh medium education for their children.

“The success is testament to their hard work and dedication.”

Parent Rebecca Roberts added: “I couldn’t imagine sending my children anywhere else.

“The cylch here is such a nurturing environment that has brought all of my children out of their shells and has helped them to develop into inquisitive youngsters.

“My daughter loves attending cylch and loves every one of the members of staff there.

“She’s going to be gutted when she goes to full time school next year!”

Manager at Ysgol Min y Ddôl, Samantha Holman said: “I’m extremely proud of our hard working team who work tirelessly to ensure that Cylch Meithrin Min y Ddôl is always the best it can be, and receiving this accolade is testament to the work that is being done.

“If you would like to know more about why an increasing amount of people are giving their children the best bi-lingual start in life by choosing our Welsh language Cylch Meithrin then please contact me on 07707470152 or email cylchmeithrinminyddol@outlook.com.”

Lead member for Education Cllr Phil Wynn said: “Da iawn to everyone involved.”
