Trading Standards have become aware of a potential scam relating to the sale and purchase of land in Florida. Be very careful if you’re approached by anyone about this.

Trading Standards advise you should always be very wary of promises of investment opportunities. If you’re planning to purchase land anywhere, always do lots of research and get trusted legal advice from an independent solicitor or legal advisor.

COULD YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO THE LIFE OF A CHILD IN CARE?

Never agree to anything or sign any documents before thoroughly checking out all details. Members of the public have previously lost lots of money to this type of scam when either the land didn’t exist or there turned out to be other hidden costs attached to the purchase.
