It’s fingers crossed for our Events Team as their event has been nominated for the National Tourism Awards 2018 as Best Event in tonight’s ceremony at the Celtic Manor in Newport.
They’re in good company for the award as other contenders are the Green Man Festival, Visit Cardiff (UCLF’17) and the Long Course Weekend.
Underneath the Arches is a spectacular annual celebration held under Thomas Telford’s awesome aqueduct in Pontcysyllte, now a World Heritage site. Thousands enjoy this musical evening filled with local acts and ends with a spectacular firework display
Amanda Davies, Marketing and Promotions Manager said: “We are so delighted to be nominated for the award and for the Council’s Events team to have recognition for all the hard work. It’s a great accolade for the county of Wrexham. I would like to take this opportunity to thanks all our hard working staff who consistently put on high quality events to be enjoyed by our communities.”
