As part of our Love Theme visitors can view the beautiful “Sweeheart” Pin Cushion which is part of the Royal Welsh Fusilier collection.

“Looking for a special gift for your Valentine?”“Valentine’s afternoon tea”

Sweet heart cushions like this one dating from World War One were made by soldiers for their loved ones back home. Coming in kit form they were often made by soldiers recovering from injuries in hospital. Decorated with beads  , they include the name of the soldier’s regiment and phrases such as “think of me” and “forget me not”.

Just arrived in Wrexham Museum Gift shop are beautiful handmade edible flower lollipops. These Lick – ably luscious lollipops are made from home grown flowers and each petal is preserved by hand to keep their natural perfection.

The flowers are grown and produced locally in the Dee Valley and the lollipops exported all over the world.
