Caring for someone with Dementia can be difficult and during these times of social isolation and social distancing the situation may become particularly stressful leaving you feeling alone and in need of reassurance, advice or support.

If this sounds familiar please read on as there is support available for you to access.

GET THE LATEST COVID-19 INFORMATION FROM PUBLIC HEALTH WALES

You can call our Dementia Connect support line on 0333 150 3456. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and will be able to provide the support and reassurance you may need at this time.

The north East Wales Carers Information Service (NEWCIS) is also able to help. They can help you get isolation packs that contain games, food, books, DVD’s etc.

You can find out all about them by following this link https://www.newcis.org.uk/about-us/ or by calling them on 01978 423114.

Our Community Inclusion Grant and Community Development Fund is currently still available to support individuals living in the community to reduce loneliness and isolation, please get in touch if you have any ideas this grant could support. Please call 01978 292066 or commissioning@wrexham.gov.uk

For anyone unable to access support for shopping, prescription pick ups or transport email covid19@avow.org or tel 01978 312556.

We also have Community Agents throughout Wrexham who are helping residents within their areas. You can find out more about our Community Agents by following this link https://www.wrexham.gov.uk/english/council/social_services/community-agents.htm

Community Agents have mobile phone numbers if you wish to contact them directly, if the Agent is unavailable please leave a message and they will contact you as soon as possible.    A service is currently available in …..
