Three of Wrexham’s local councillors were elected to the Senedd on May 7, which means three by elections will now be held on June 18.
Carrie Harper (Queensway), Marc Jones (Grosvenor) and Becca Martin (Acton and Maesydre) have all vacated their seats and, if you live in one of their wards, you will be given the chance to elect your new councillor.
All three by elections will take place on Thursday, June 18, but if you aren’t registered you won’t be able to vote.
Here are the important dates to remember if you aren’t registered:
Last day to register to vote: Tuesday, June 2
Last day to apply for a postal vote: 5pm on Wednesday, June 3
Last day to apply for a proxy vote: 5pm on Wednesday, June 10
Going on holiday?
If you’re going to be away on any of these deadlines, make sure you apply before you go. Postal votes will be sent out on Thursday, June 4, so be sure to check the dates of your holiday to decide how you’re going to vote.
