We’re pleased to offer free parking in our town centre car parks for the 2018 Food Festival set for 22 and 23 September.

David A Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said: “It’s important that we support town centre events and encourage visitors to come and enjoy what Wrexham has to offer. The Food Festival is always a popular event and I hope free parking will encourage even more to enjoy themselves.”

This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever and will include an afternoon and evening programme with live music.

The event is being organised by town centre businessmen Alex Jones of the Bank and Plât Bach and the Lemon Tree’s Sam Regan. they are supported by the “This is Wrexham” team and famous local brands including King Street Coffee and Wrexham Lager.

Alex Jones, on behalf of the organisers, said: “We thank the council for offering this great incentive of free parking for the Weekend of the food festival. It promises to be a fabulous weekend. We have the Tent, we have the exhibitors, we have free parking now we need the weather. Thank you once again to the lead member and the team”

Cllr Mark Pritchard, Leader of the Council, said: “We have met with organisers and worked with them over the last couple of months to support them, their use of Llwyn Isaf and free parking for the two days. Wrexham should be proud of this event and I hope it is successful and call on everyone to go along and support this annual Food Festival.”

Chris Nelson from Woody’s Pizza, who is also involved in the organisation of the event said: “Potential vendors and exhibitors interested in finding out more about the event should pop along to our informal gathering at Tŷ Pawb on Thursday June 28 from 6:30pm – all are welcome!”
