In partnership with Flintshire County Council, Wrexham County Borough Council and Tŷ Pawb, Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam have organised a week full of virtual celebrations to celebrate St. David’s Day between March 1st- 5th.

The celebrations might be different but they’ll reflect the fact that we’re all apart but together celebrating Wales’ Patron Saint safely from home this year. There’ll be something for everyone.

Throughout the week all of the St.David’s Eisteddfod items and results will be announced. There’ll also be various activities including a virtual parade with a performance by Band Cambria, cookery recipes and much more. These will be shared on Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam’s social media platforms between March 1st- 5th.

As part of the celebrations, a Taith yr Iaith Quiz by R. Ben Igwr (Llion Williams) will be held for the whole family on Zoom on Tuesday, 2nd March between 6-7pm. To book your place, email anna@menterfflintwrecsam.cymru.

Celebrations will come to an end with a special session from the band Bandicoot on Tŷ Pawb and Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam Facebook pages on Friday, March 5th at 7:30pm.

Councillor Hugh Jones said, “Celebrating St David’s Day is an important part of living in Wales, and this year there will be many exciting and safe ways we can do that online. Let us make sure we join together digitally in 2021 and make it a  St David’s Day to remember for all the good things happening.”

To join the celebrations, remember to use #DewiSiryFflint or #DewiWrecsam and remember to follow the Welsh Government Covid-19 guidelines.
