JCB recently hosted the Mersey Dee Alliance (MDA) Innovation Network Business Breakfast, supported by Wrexham Council’s business and investment team.

The aim of these breakfasts is to bring knowledge-based companies together with people that would support their growth.

The MDA organise these bi-monthly breakfasts, alternating between hosts in England and Wales and this month over 70 companies attended.

Throughout the morning, the group heard engaging pitches from numerous businesses – primarily small and medium-sized enterprises. Each business also had an exhibition space to showcase themselves and network.

Councillor Nigel Williams, Wrexham Council’s Lead Member for Economy and Regeneration, said: “It was an enjoyable and informative morning spent with local businesses and those from across the MDA region of Flintshire, Wirral and Cheshire.

“This is a great way for companies to meet, network and build long lasting beneficial relationships.

“I would like to thank Wrexham Council’s business and investment team for organising, all speakers, business stands and guests…and a particularly special thank you to Craig Weeks and his team from JCB in Wrexham for hosting and providing refreshments.”

Craig Weeks, operations director at JCB Transmissions, said: “As a world leading manufacturing company deeply committed to innovation and collaboration, we were thrilled to host the MDA business breakfast event.

“This gathering provided a unique opportunity for industry leaders and SME’s to convene, share insights, and explore avenues for growth and partnership. At JCB Transmissions, we recognize the importance of fostering meaningful connections within the business community, and we look forward to facilitating engaging discussions that drive progress and innovation.

“We are passionate about supporting the local community, education, charities and business to leave a legacy of growth and development for local people. At JCB Transmissions we focus on creating a culture to deliver excellence.”

Any businesses interested in future breakfast events should contact the MDA for details.
