Griffiths have been appointed by Wrexham County Borough Council to Environmental Improvements to Wrexham City Centre.

To help deliver the final phases of the works joining the new road surface between Hope Street and Church Street with High Street, they will need to temporarily close Hope Street and High Street for the works to be carried out safely.

The closure of these roads will be for 5 working days starting Monday 4th November and ending on Friday 8th November.

Access to pedestrians will remain open throughout this phase of the works.

During this temporary closure, Abbot Street will be temporarily reopened and drop-off points will be provided at the top of Town Hill (exiting via Abbot Street) and at the top of Yorke Street (exiting via Chester Street/Charles Street.

As always, their staff will be available and happy to help by providing a porter service from this location for business deliveries. Refuse/waste collections will be at the same locations as the drop-off points.

This is a very busy area of the city and works will inevitably cause some disruption.

Cllr Nigel Williams, Lead Member for Economy and Regeneration said “Our contractors will be working as safely, efficiently and to the highest standards possible in order to complete the works as soon as they can. “We apologies for the disruption caused during the works in improving our high street and hope that businesses will be able to take full advantage of the new layout and enhancements once complete.”
