Winners of the anti dog-fouling ‘Design a Sign’ competition have been celebrated at a special awards evening in the mayor’s chamber.
The competition invited primary schools pupils from across Wrexham to create colourful, eye catching designs reminding dog owners to clean up after their dogs and help keep our local communities clean and welcoming.
The winning designs were selected from entries submitted by schools across the borough, with the successful pupils invited to meet the former Mayor Tina Mannering and attend a special awards evening in the mayor’s chamber.
The competition was launched to encourage children to share an important message in a creative way, while helping to raise awareness of the impact dog fouling can have on public spaces.
The winning designs will now be turned into real signs, which will be placed around local communities to remind dog owners to do the right thing.
