Cllr Phil Wynn, lead member for education, said: “In Wrexham we have a strong history of meeting the wide range of additional learning needs (ALN) of children and young people. Many are educated in mainstream schools, but a significant number require a more specialist setting for their learning and well-being needs to be met. The proposal to build this new school in Gwersyllt shows how the council intends to address the rising demand for special school places.
“I would ask that all those who have an interest in ALN provision in Wrexham and the establishing of this school, to take part in the consultation and let us know your thoughts”
