Residents are set to benefit from an improved timetable on Service 34, which connects Wrexham with Trevalyn via Pandy, Llay and Burton.
From Monday 1 June 2026, the service will be operated by Arriva Bus Wales and will run Monday to Saturday, except bank holidays.
The improved service will provide four return journeys each day, offering a significant increase compared with the current timetable, which operates on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with three round trips on those days.
The route will continue to serve communities including Pandy, Gwersyllt, Bradley, Llay, Burton and Trevalyn, providing improved links into Wrexham and surrounding areas.
The new service will also use a larger, low floor accessible bus, improving accessibility for passengers.
Residents may see Arriva vehicles on the route ahead of the start date as part of timing trials and route familiarization.
Councillor David A Bithell, Lead Member with responsibility for Strategic Transport said “This is very welcome news for residents along the Service 34 route. The main improvement is that the service will now operate 6 days a week, rather than 3, with 4 return journeys each day.”
“Good local bus services are vital for helping people access shops, appointments, work, education and social opportunities, and this enhanced timetable will provide better connections for communities between Wrexham, Pandy, Llay, Burton and Trevalyn.”
“I’m pleased that, working with Arriva Bus Wales, we are able to reinstate a stronger level of service on this route and support residents who rely on local public transport.”
The first day of operation under the new timetable will be Monday 1 June 2026, passengers are encouraged to check the timetable on the Arriva Wales website before travelling.
