We’d like to extend a very warm welcome to Hotpack Packaging Industries following their announcement that they are set up their European Headquarters and a new 360,000 square foot factory in Llay.

They’ll be based in the former Sharp Phase 2 building and they completed the deal last month.

Our very own Business Support team initially received the first enquiry of interest from them some months ago and, recognising the importance such a development would mean to Wrexham, they immediately set about making sure they had all available help to ensure their hopes to set up in Wrexham were brought to a reality.

Throughout the negotiations they have stayed in touch with the Hotpack team and also provided accommodation at Redwither to ensure they has a meeting base to take the project forward.

TELL US HOW YOU THINK WE SHOULD SAVE £13M. FILL-IN THE QUESTIONNAIRE NOW.

“A good sign of confidence in Wrexham”

Cllr Terry Evans, Lead Member for Economic Performance and Regeneration, said: “Wrexham has a long list of strong economic assets – especially in the production and manufacturing sectors – and our strength as a town and location for business is well-known. This move by H-Pack, and their parent company Hotpack, is a good sign of confidence in Wrexham and we should be proud of that.

“We at Wrexham Council have been heavily involved in this project, and offered any help we could in order to facilitate this development – and we will continue to offer whatever help we can in future.”
